You have found Sally Anne Bears, my name is Sandra, and would like to welcome you to my web site. With in these pages you will find information on all my bears. Sally Anne Bears was born in Cyprus in July 2001 and has traveled with me back to UK, however during my time in Cyprus I had no easy access to supplies or magazines. Looking back this was a good thing as my work has not been influenced by any other artists.

I have enjoyed a wide range of handicrafts for over 30 years, and it was not until my daughter Claire told me to make something out of all the books I had accumulated over the years, and passed me a teddy bear book. I made my first bear 'Angelica' and as the book said 'Once you make one teddy bear you will never stop'. How true that is, as these little souls have taken taken over my life and home.

My first bear was 'Angelica' who made from a pattern in a book called 'Making Teddy Bears'. She was a 6 inch, pink bear with a grumpy face, I named her after the little madam in Rugrats the cartoon. After Angelica, I started to create my own patterns which so far, none have looked so grumpy. 

The bears I am creating at the moment, are on the small and cute side, however, along with larger bears I also plan to make more traditional teddies, and some that are a bit more wacky and fun. All my bears faces and paw pads are hand stitched, as I feel it produces better results. The smaller bears are completely hand stitched.
